Term offered: Third year, second term
Students research, explore and develop a unified body of work based on a self-defined theme. Emphasis is placed on creative rigor and the critical examination of thematic content in an interdisciplinary context. Students bring personal definition to the previously unknown variable otherwise represented by “x”.
Module One: Introduction to creative project proposals and approaches to determining individual objectives.
Module Two: Creative research strategies in the studio. Developing individual body of work.
Module Three: Individual project development and refinement and introduction to writing a summative artist/designer statement.
Module Four: Summative statement refined and completed, presentation and installation methods reviewed and final body of work critiqued.
